Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley Membership
Membership in the Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley is open to any professional between the ages of 21 and 39 that works for a company that is a member of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce or the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. We have members from all different professions including: accountants, bankers, event planners, financial representatives, teachers, chiropractors, real estate agents, university professionals and more.
Annual membership cost is:
$15.00 (full-time student over the age of 21, educational institution must be a member of the Eau Claire Chamber, please include copy of student ID with application)
$35.00 (Employer is a member of the Eau Claire Chamber or Chippewa Falls Chamber)
$100.00 (Employer is not a member of the Eau Claire Chamber or Chippewa Falls Chamber)

YPCV’s membership mix is the organization’s greatest strength. In a survey conducted ty YPCV in January 2008, the following information was compiled:

While we target ages 21-39, 81 percent of YPCV members fall between
the ages of 26-35.
Relationship Status:
40 percent are single/divorced
44 percent are married
Gender:
60 percent are female
40 percent are male
Political Affiliation:
33 percent are Democrats
29 percent are Republicans
98 percent of the members vote in national elections
71 percent in state elections and 50 percent in local elections
Only 1 percent do not vote
Work:
Members expand 15 industry categories ranging from financial, education,
healthcare and manufacturing with the largest percentage from
professional/business services.
25 percent are employed by companies with 2-24 employees
23 percent from companies with 1,000+ employees
Education:
63 percent hold a bachelor’s degree
13 percent hold a masters degree
Origins:
21 percent are “lifers” and have always lived in the area
19 percent are considered a “transplant” attended college here and stayed
20 percent are considered “stickers,” moved here more than two years ago
16 percent are “born again,” born in the area, moved away and came back
14 percent are "newbies", moved here within the last 2 years
46 percent expect to stay in Eau Claire over 10 years
