UW-Eau Claire Campus Eau Claire, Wisconsin residents are committed to providing the highest level of education for both the youth and adult populations. The ACT composite score in 2008 for students attending Eau Claire and Altoona schools were 23.0 and 23.5, respectively. The scores are consistently above the state average, which in 2008 was 22.3.  There are approximately 800 certified staff members available to provide a successful learning environment. The Eau Claire area has the eighth largest school district in Wisconsin. Over 11,000 youth are enrolled in the Eau Claire Area School District. The district has two high schools, three charter school, three middle schools and 12 elementary schools.

The School District of Altoona is minutes away from Eau Claire and has an elementary, middle and high school that serves more than 1,400 students. The elementary school is for kindergarten through fourth grade students. Grades fifth through eighth attend the middle school while grades ninth through 12 are at the high school.

The School District of Fall Creek is located a quick ten miles east of Eau Claire. The district has an enrollment of 890 students, housed in one K-12 complex.

A variety of schools aimed at faith-focused education are available in Eau Claire. The The Catholic Area Schools of the Eau Claire Deanery (C.A.S.E.) has four pre-school programs, three K-5 elementary schools, one middle school and one high school serving more than 1,100 students. They strive for academic and co-curricular excellence in a safe learning atmosphere, while integrating moral and value development. Regis High School is a Catholic high school with an enrollment of approximately 240 students. Other parochial schools include: Bethel Christian School, Crestview Academy, Eau Claire Lutheran School, Immanuel Lutheran High School, Messiah Lutheran School and St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran School. The enrollment for these schools range from about 20 students to almost 150 students.

Ranked among the top regional public universities in the Midwest, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire provides baccalaureate degree programs and offers a liberal arts education. More than 10,500 students take advantage of the school’s 80 major and minor programs and numerous master’s degree programs available each year. Students enjoy small class sizes and have plenty of opportunities to collaborate with faculty on research, study abroad, work as interns, help out in the community and get involved in organizations. The university has many meaningful partnerships with schools, businesses and organizations throughout the region and state.

For those looking for a technical education, Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) Chippewa Valley has a twin mission: to educate and prepare people for work and to promote economic development. From 1997 to 2007, CVTC was the fastest growing college in Wisconsin, and demand for technical education has not slowed. More than 50 full-time majors and programs are offered. The technical college also offers contract training for firms of all sizes. Most instruction needed to boost the productivity of a firm can be acquired. In Eau Claire, the college has a Business Education and Health Education Center at its Clairemont Campus; and an Emergency Service Education Center and Transportation Center at its West Campus. A Manufacturing Education Center and the NanoRite Center for Innovation are located at its Gateway Campus on Alpine Road. CVTC also operates campuses and centers in Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, River Falls and Neillsville.
